These docs are built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. The full audit is not finished yet: this page will give its results, its date and the known limits.

Scope

This statement covers the documentation site docs.iyedy.com, in English and in French, in its light and dark themes, from a phone 320 pixels wide to a large screen. It does not cover the iyedy app.

What the docs are built to support

Need What the docs do
Keyboard only Every control is reachable with Tab, in reading order. Skip to content is the first link. Ctrl K opens the search and Esc closes it; no single key does anything.
Visible focus The focus shows as a 2-pixel ring and is never hidden under the sticky top bar.
Screen readers One heading 1 per page, headings in order, named regions (navigation, breadcrumb, On this page), tabs, accordions and dialogs with their roles, an announcement when a command is copied or a search returns.
Language Each page says its language; an English label quoted in a French page is marked as English.
Colour and contrast Text and controls follow the contrast ratios of WCAG AA in both themes; colour is never the only sign.
Motion With reduced motion on, nothing slides or scales. Nothing moves by itself.
Zoom and small screens Text can be enlarged to 200 % and pages reflow at 320 pixels wide without scrolling sideways, except wide tables and commands, which scroll in their own frame.
Touch On a touch screen, targets are at least 44 pixels high.
Images Each annotated picture has a sentence that says what it shows, and its legend in text.

How we test

The audit has two parts:

  • Automated checks of each page template (home, guide, tutorial, reference, changelog, search, 404), in English and French, in the light and dark themes, at a phone and a desktop width.
  • A manual pass: the keyboard alone, NVDA with Firefox on Windows, VoiceOver with Safari on iPhone, TalkBack with Chrome on Android, zoom to 200 % and 400 %, Windows high contrast and reduced motion.

Known limits

  • The audit is not finished. Until it is, we cannot say that every page meets every criterion.
  • The app. This statement does not cover the iyedy app. Report a barrier in the app the same way, below.
