Connect iyedy to Claude
Work with your architecture diagrams in a Claude conversation. Claude reads your models, runs iyedy's checks and prepares changes. It never edits a model itself; you, or someone who can edit the diagram, apply each change in iyedy.
On this page
claude.ai, Claude Desktop, the Claude mobile apps and Claude Code connect to iyedy. In claude.ai and Claude Desktop, add it from the Claude directory: claude.ai/directory/iyedy. The directory shows it with the Community label: it was screened before it was listed but not reviewed in depth, and Claude reminds you of that before you connect. You can still add iyedy by its address, as a custom connector.
Before you start
- An iyedy account. Sign in once at app.iyedy.com with the identity you will use in Claude, and finish creating your account. Claude sees exactly the diagrams this account can read.
- A Claude account and the Claude app you use: claude.ai in your browser, Claude Desktop or the Claude mobile apps. For the Claude Code tab: Claude Code on your computer, signed in to your Claude account.
- On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner of your Claude organisation adds the connector for everyone, then each member connects with their own account. See Claude Team and Enterprise.
- In an iyedy organisation (Team, Enterprise), access for Claude is off until an owner asks support@iyedy.com to turn it on. Your personal workspace works right away.

- Add iyedy on the web or in Claude Desktop

- Turn it on in a conversation
In the mobile app, open a conversation, select + › Connectors and turn on iyedy. Then ask, for example: “List my iyedy diagrams.”
You are done when Claude answers with the names of your own diagrams.
Add iyedy by its address
If you prefer, add iyedy as a custom connector. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Customize › Connectors and select Add custom connector (if you see + Add first, select it, then Add custom connector). Name the connector iyedy and enter this address:
https://app.iyedy.com/mcpLeave Advanced settings empty: iyedy needs no client ID and no secret. If Claude shows the settings it detected after Continue, keep them: Sign in now and Use Claude's published identity. Select Add. If the sign-in does not open by itself, select Connect next to iyedy. Sign in on auth.iyedy.com, read what Claude asks for, then select Allow. On the Free plan, Claude lets you add one custom connector.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, only an Owner adds a custom connector: see Claude Team and Enterprise. If your Owner already added it, find iyedy under Customize › Connectors with the Custom label and select Connect.
What Claude can do
Claude picks the tools from your request. Reading tools never change anything. The two tools that store something ask for your approval by default.
Read and analyse
Diagrams, views, versions, findings, dependencies across diagrams.
Propose a change
Preview a change, then submit it as a proposal that a person reviews in iyedy.
A proposal from Claude waits in iyedy, labelled Claude or Claude Code, until someone who can edit the diagram applies or rejects it. A proposal nobody handles is deleted 30 days after it was made.
Privacy
- What Claude can read. Only the diagrams your iyedy account can open, up to a ceiling: Confidential on personal workspaces, Internal on Team and Enterprise. Restricted diagrams are never sent. Values that look like secrets are replaced before they leave iyedy.
- What Claude can change. Nothing directly. Claude can submit a proposal or withdraw its own, and you, or someone who can edit the diagram, apply it in iyedy.
- Your data. iyedy does not use your diagrams to train AI models. What Claude does with what it reads is covered by your Claude account terms. Inside iyedy, the Assistant uses our AI model provider, which processes data worldwide and deletes it within 30 days.
Full details: Privacy policy.
Disconnect
In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Customize › Connectors and select iyedy. Select Disconnect to sign Claude out, or open the three-dot menu and select Remove to take iyedy off your account. The mobile apps follow, since they use the same connectors.
To make Claude Code forget the sign-in, run:
$ claude mcp logout iyedyTo remove iyedy from Claude Code:
$ claude mcp remove iyedyThere is no screen in iyedy for this yet. To remove the access on iyedy's side, write to support@iyedy.com.
Troubleshooting
Claude asks you to sign in to iyedy again
The sign-in did not finish or has expired. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Customize › Connectors, select Reconnect (or Connect) next to iyedy and sign in again. In Claude Code, run /mcp, select iyedy, then Authenticate, and approve the access again on auth.iyedy.com.
A diagram I expect is missing
Claude only sees what your iyedy account can read, up to Confidential on a personal workspace and Internal in an organisation. For Claude, a diagram above that ceiling does not exist. Restricted diagrams are never shared.
“MCP clients are not enabled for this organization.”
Access for Claude is off in this organisation. An owner of the organisation asks support@iyedy.com to turn it on.
Your organisation requires single sign-on
Disconnect iyedy in Claude, connect again (in Claude Code: /mcp, select iyedy), and sign in with your work e-mail address, so that the sign-in goes through your organisation's single sign-on.
Claude says it has to wait
Too many calls in a short time. Wait a minute, then ask again.
Adding the custom connector fails
Check the address, https://app.iyedy.com/mcp. If you added iyedy before the evening of 29 October 2026, remove the connector and add it again. More causes: Claude troubleshooting.
iyedy shows twice in Connectors
You added iyedy as a custom connector before, then from the directory. You only need one. To keep one, open the custom one (under Custom) in Customize › Connectors, open the three-dot menu and select Remove. On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner removes it in Organization settings › Connectors.
