Connect a coding assistant

Codex, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Zed, Cursor and Gemini CLI connect to iyedy at the same address as Claude and ChatGPT, and sign in with your iyedy account. They read your models, run iyedy's checks and prepare proposals; a person applies each change in iyedy.

Start here

Pick your assistant. Each guide takes about five minutes: add iyedy's address, sign in on auth.iyedy.com, approve the access.

Assistant How you add iyedy How it introduces itself
Codex (CLI, IDE extension, app) one command its own public address
VS Code with GitHub Copilot the address, from the Command Palette its own public address
Zed the address, in the MCP Servers settings its own public address
Cursor a block in mcp.json iyedy's client ID cursor
Gemini CLI a block in settings.json iyedy's client ID gemini-cli

The guides of this section are listed below, with the troubleshooting page.

Another assistant

iyedy's sign-in knows these clients, Claude and ChatGPT, and refuses clients that register themselves on the fly. Another MCP client that can send a header connects with a personal access token: see Connect another MCP client.
