Your data

What iyedy stores about you and your diagrams, where it is stored, how it is protected, and who can read it.

iyedy holds two kinds of data: your account and your content. This page says what each one is, where it lives and who can read it. The privacy policy is the legal text; this page explains it for the people who decide whether iyedy can hold their architecture.

What we store

Data What it is How long
Your account e-mail address, name, sign-in sessions; your password only as a hash, kept by our sign-in service while the account exists, then erased
Your content models, diagrams, views, comments, decisions, imported files and their history while the account exists
An item you delete moved to the trash, where you can restore it 30 days, then deleted for good
Your Assistant conversations your requests and the answers, in threads you can view and erase see Conversations and retention

Exact durations, including those of our encrypted backups, are in the privacy policy.

Where it is stored

Your diagrams are stored in the European Union. Two kinds of providers may process part of your data outside it, each under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses: our AI model provider, only for what the Assistant sends when you use it (AI and your diagrams), and our payment provider for payments.

How it is protected

  • In transit. Every connection between your browser and iyedy is encrypted (HTTPS).
  • At rest. The content of your diagrams is encrypted with a key that belongs to your account alone. When you delete your account, that key is destroyed in the service at the latest 30 days later; once the encrypted backups that still hold it have expired, your content can no longer be read anywhere.
  • Passwords and sessions. Passwords are kept only as hashes. Sessions end after a period without activity (Secure your account).
  • Logs. Our technical logs never hold the content of a diagram or what you ask the Assistant.

Who can read it

  • You, and the people you share a diagram with, with the rights you give them (Share a diagram).
  • In an organisation, its members, according to their roles and to the classification of each diagram (Classification and AI ceiling).
  • Anyone with a public link, only for a diagram classified Public, and only while the link lasts (Read-only public links).
  • iyedy, only to provide the service, at your request (for support, for example), to handle a security incident or when the law requires it.

We do not sell your data, never use it for advertising, and do not use your diagrams to train AI models.

Classification

Every diagram has a classification: Public, Internal, Confidential or Restricted. It limits who can be invited to it, whether it can have a public link, and what the AI may read. A Restricted diagram is never sent to the AI, by the Assistant or by Claude.

What this means for you

  • Put the classification on a diagram the day you create it: everything else follows from it.
  • Before you delete your account, export what you want to keep (Export your data or delete your account).
  • To use your rights over your data (access, correction, erasure, portability), write to contact@iyedy.com; for help with the export or the deletion, to support@iyedy.com. In an organisation, ask its owners first: the organisation decides how its content is used.
