Show a diagram in Microsoft Teams
Pin a live, read-only view of a diagram as a tab of a Teams channel, with the iyedy app for Teams and an embed link.

A Teams tab keeps the current picture of a design in the channel where the team talks about it. The tab shows one view of a diagram, read-only, drawn from the saved diagram, with pan and zoom.
Before you start
- The iyedy app for Teams is in your Microsoft 365 organisation. It is not in the Microsoft Teams store: your Microsoft 365 administrator uploads it once as a custom app, in the Teams admin center under Teams apps, Manage apps, Upload new app, then allows it for the people who need it. To get the app package, write to support@iyedy.com.
- Teams is allowed to show embeds. Browsers refuse to show an embed inside Teams until an owner or security administrator of your iyedy organisation adds it (step 1).
- You are an editor of the diagram, or its owner, and the diagram's classification is within the embed ceiling, Internal by default.
Add a view as a Teams tab
- Allow Microsoft Teams
From the command palette (Ctrl K), open Integrations settings (embeds, Jira)…. Under Sites allowed to show embeds, use the preset Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365, then select Save.
- Create the embed link
Open the diagram, select Share…, then open Embed elsewhere. Choose the View, the Link lifetime and the Paper, then select Create embed link.
- Copy the link
The link is shown only once: select Copy link.
- Add the tab in Teams
In the Teams channel, select + to add a tab, choose iyedy, and paste the link.
The new tab shows the view of Claims Platform; you can move and zoom in it.
When the link expires
An embed link lives for the time you chose, 90 days at most. When it expires, the tab stops showing the view: create a new link and update the tab. To stop it earlier, revoke the link from Active embed links in the share sheet: see Show a diagram in Confluence.
If it doesn't work
The tab stays empty or shows a refusal
Microsoft Teams is not in the sites allowed to show embeds. Add the preset Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 (step 1), then reload the tab.
iyedy is not in the list of apps when you add a tab
The iyedy app is not uploaded to your Microsoft 365 organisation, or not allowed for you. Ask your Microsoft 365 administrator.
The tab worked, then stopped
The embed link expired or was revoked. Create a new one and paste it in the tab.
