Claude troubleshooting

What to do when Claude cannot connect to iyedy, cannot see a diagram, refuses a call or cuts an answer short.

Adding and signing in

iyedy added as a custom connector in claude.ai or Claude Desktop does not connect

Check these causes, in this order:

  • The address. It is exactly https://app.iyedy.com/mcp, with https and /mcp at the end. To fix it, edit the connector in Customize › Connectors, or remove it and add it again.
  • Added before the evening of 29 October 2026, or Claude says it could not register. iyedy has accepted Claude's custom connector since that evening, and Claude may keep iyedy's older sign-in details for about 5 minutes. Wait 5 minutes, remove the connector and add it again.
  • Something typed in Advanced settings. iyedy needs no client ID and no secret. A connector's sign-in method cannot be changed once it is added: remove the connector and add it again with Advanced settings left empty.
  • Connected, but the tools say MCP clients are turned off. Your iyedy organisation has not turned on access for Claude yet: see MCP clients turned off. Your personal workspace works.

The steps: Add iyedy by its address.

The sign-in page shows “Invalid parameter: redirect_uri”

In Claude Code: iyedy was added without --client-id claude-code. Remove it and add it again with the command of Use iyedy in Claude Code:

Terminal
$ claude mcp remove iyedy
No browser window opens

Claude Code runs on a machine without a browser, or cannot open one. Sign in with this command and open the address it prints on another device:

Terminal
$ claude mcp login iyedy --no-browser$ claude mcp login iyedy \
    --no-browser
Claude asks you to sign in to iyedy again

The sign-in expired, did not finish, or was not used for more than 30 days. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Customize › Connectors, select Reconnect (or Connect) next to iyedy and sign in again. In Claude Code, run /mcp, select iyedy, then Authenticate, and approve the access again on auth.iyedy.com.

“No iyedy account uses this sign-in yet.”

You signed in with an identity that has no iyedy account. Open app.iyedy.com, sign in with the same identity, finish creating your account, then ask Claude again. The connection never creates an account for you.

Access in an organisation

“MCP clients are turned off for this organization.”

Access for MCP clients is off in this Team or Enterprise organisation; a request may also answer “MCP clients are not enabled for this organization.” An owner asks support@iyedy.com to turn it on: see Claude Team and Enterprise. Your personal workspace keeps working.

“This organization does not allow Claude Code as an MCP client.”

The organisation allows only some Claude apps, and not this one. An owner asks support to change the list of allowed clients.

“This organization requires its single sign-on.”

Disconnect iyedy in Claude, connect again and, on the sign-in page, use your work e-mail address so that the sign-in goes through your organisation's single sign-on. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, select iyedy in Customize › Connectors, then Disconnect. In Claude Code, run:

Terminal
$ claude mcp logout iyedy

What Claude sees

A diagram I expect is missing, or Claude says it is not found

Claude sees only what your iyedy account can read, and only up to the ceiling: Confidential on a personal workspace, Internal in an organisation. A diagram above it is never listed and answers “not found”, like a diagram that does not exist. Restricted diagrams are never shared. Check the diagram's classification in iyedy: see Classification and AI ceiling.

Claude reads the wrong workspace

With several workspaces, ask Claude to list them first, then name the one you mean: “List my iyedy workspaces, then work in the Claims team workspace.”

A value shows as “redacted”

Values that look like secrets (passwords, keys, tokens) are replaced before they leave iyedy. That is on purpose. If Claude sends the placeholder back unchanged in a proposal, the stored value is kept.

Answers and limits

Claude says the answer was cut

An answer is capped at 100,000 characters. A cut answer starts with “Cut:” and names the inputs that ask for less. Ask for less: one view instead of all, the summary of the checks first, then the findings of some rules. A long diagram is read in pages, which Claude joins for you.

Claude cannot show a large view as an image

A very large view is not returned as an image. Ask Claude to describe it instead: it gets the zones, the elements and the relationships in words.

Claude says it has to wait

Too many calls in a short time. Wait a minute, then ask again. iyedy limits requests per person (60 a minute on Free, 120 on paid plans): see Rate limits and errors.

Proposals

Claude cannot submit a proposal

You need at least the contributor role in the diagram's workspace, and the proposal must be valid: an invalid change is refused and nothing is stored. Ask Claude to preview the change first and fix what the preview reports.

I cannot find Claude's proposal in iyedy

Open the diagram in iyedy, then the Assistant panel (Ctrl J): proposals wait under Proposals to review, labelled with the Claude app that made them. A proposal nobody handles is deleted 30 days after it was made. See How proposals reach your team.

Still stuck? Contact support with the time of the call and the name of the diagram, never a token.
