Before you start

  • An e-mail address you can read now, or a Google account. In a company that uses iyedy, use your work address: your organisation may sign you in itself.
  • A recent browser that keeps cookies for app.iyedy.com and auth.iyedy.com. An ad blocker or strict privacy settings can break the sign-in.

Create your account

  1. Open the sign-up page

Go to app.iyedy.com. On Sign in to iyedy, under New to iyedy?, select Create an account. The page becomes Create your iyedy account.

  2. Choose how you will sign in

    Pick one:

    • Google: select Sign up with Google and choose your Google account.
    • E-mail and password: enter your E-mail address and select Continue, or select Create an account with a password. Fill in your first and last name and a password of at least 15 characters.

If your address belongs to an organisation that signs its people in, iyedy sends you to its sign-in page instead. See Company sign-in.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code

iyedy shows Check your inbox and e-mails you a 6-digit code. Type it in Verification code, then select Verify. The code is valid for 10 minutes and accepts 5 tries; Send a new code sends another one.

  4. Start working

You land on your Home page; your diagrams go to your personal workspace, My diagrams. Your welcome credits, sharing and invitations are now unlocked.

Check your work. You are signed in, your name shows in the account menu at the top right, and your plan and credits show under Usage on Home.
Skip for now

On the code page, Skip for now lets you look around. Until you enter the code, the welcome credits, sharing and invitations stay locked.

Go to app.iyedy.com and choose the way you signed up:

  • Continue with Google;
  • your E-mail address, then Continue and your password (Forgot password? sends a reset link);
  • Sign in with a password, which opens the sign-in page on auth.iyedy.com.

The sign-in pages live on auth.iyedy.com. iyedy never asks for your password anywhere else.

Stay signed in

On the sign-in page on auth.iyedy.com, tick Keep me signed in on a computer you trust.

How you signed in Signed out after
E-mail and password, box not ticked 30 minutes without activity
E-mail and password, Keep me signed in ticked 14 days without activity, 90 days at most
Google 30 minutes without activity, 12 hours at most
Your organisation's single sign-on its own rules: 30 minutes without activity and 12 hours at most, or shorter

Passkeys

A passkey signs you in with your fingerprint, your face or your device PIN instead of a password. When your browser supports passkeys, the sign-in page on auth.iyedy.com offers Sign in with a passkey; your browser then asks you to confirm with your passkey or security key.

Company sign-in

When your organisation has verified its e-mail domain, typing your work address leads to Your organisation signs you in: select the Continue with button that names your organisation, and sign in as you do at work. Your organisation decides how long you stay signed in. A Google sign-in with an organisation's address goes through the organisation's sign-in too.

Sign out

Open the account menu at the top right and select Sign out. On a shared computer, always sign out.

If it doesn't work

The code doesn't arrive

Wait a minute and look in your spam folder. Then select Send a new code; if a code was sent a moment ago, iyedy asks you to wait a minute first. Check the address on the code page: the code goes there.

“That e-mail and password don’t match.”

Check both, then try again. If you signed up with Google, use Continue with Google: that account has no password. Otherwise select Forgot password?.

“Your session ended. Sign in again.”

You were inactive longer than your session allows. Sign in again; your saved work is still there. Tick Keep me signed in to stay signed in longer.
