Review troubleshooting

An invitation or a link that does not open, a right you do not have, a verdict or a sign-off refused. Each message, what it means and what to do.

“This invitation is not valid”

It was used, revoked or has expired. Ask the person who invited you for a new one. An invitation to an organisation is valid 14 days.

“This invitation is for … Sign in with that address.”

You are signed in with another address. Sign out, then sign in, or create an account, with the address the invitation was sent to.

“… signs its members in with its company account, and this address is not part of it.”

The organisation asks its members to sign in through its company account, and your address is outside its domains. Ask the person who invited you for a guest invitation, or use your work address.

Access and rights

“Your role does not allow it.”

Your access lets you do less than this action needs: viewing, not commenting, or commenting, not editing. Ask the diagram's owner, or in an organisation a workspace owner. See Roles and permissions.

“You can read comments here; your role does not allow writing them.”

You can view the diagram, not comment. Ask for Can comment, or for the Commenter role in an organisation.

“Give your verdict on a larger screen.”

On a phone, the app reads only. Open the same link on a computer or a tablet, or give your verdict from the one-page review.

“Access expired” or “Review access expired”

The date the author chose passed before you answered. Ask the author to ask you again if your answer is still wanted.

“This diagram is no longer open to you.”

The owner removed your access, or the organisation removed you. Ask them if you still need it.

“With Pro, a person you invite can edit your diagrams.” or “Only one person you invite can edit with Pro.”

On Free, the people you invite view and comment; none of them edits. On Pro and Pro+, one invited person can edit the content of your diagrams, and a pending invitation to edit holds that place. Invite the person to comment instead, upgrade to Pro, or on Pro take the edit right back from the current editor first. To edit with more people, create a team. See Plan limits.

Verdicts and sign-off

“An open HIGH finding asks for a condition or an accepted risk.”

A HIGH finding is still open. Approve or sign off with a condition, or accept the risk with a reason. See Run checks and handle findings.

“The organisation rule does not let the author approve their own version.”

In an organisation, a colleague gives the verdict on your version. Ask for a review: see Request a review.

“Two people now hold a seat: the author no longer approves alone.”

Your organisation let the author approve while one person held a seat. A second person now has one: ask a colleague for a review.

“Not sent: your verdict was withdrawn.”

You selected Undo during the few seconds your verdict waits. Give it again when you are ready.

“Someone changed it meanwhile: reload, then try again.”

Someone saved the diagram or the thread while you worked. Reload the page, read what changed, then try again.

“The diagram is now at v15; verdicts apply to v14.”

The author saved a new version after the request. Your verdict covers the version you were asked about; the author resubmits the new one if it needs review.

Still stuck? Contact support with the diagram's name and the message you see.
