Organisation troubleshooting

A member who cannot sign in, an invitation refused, a role or a seat that blocks, a rule that will not save. Each message, what it means and what to do.

Signing in

“… asks for its company sign-in.”

The organisation asks its members to sign in through its company account, and the current session did not. Select Sign in with Claims Architecture and use the work address. Guests keep their own sign-in.

“Your membership of this organisation is suspended.”

An administrator suspended the member. In Organisation…, Members, filter on Suspended and select Reinstate if the suspension is over.

“You no longer have access to …”

The person was removed from the organisation, or left it. Invite them again if they should come back: a new invitation brings back only what it gives.

Invitations

“This address does not use the sign-in of …: it is invited as a guest.”

Your organisation asks for its company sign-in, and this address is outside its domains. It can be invited as a guest only, to read or comment. To let the person edit, they need an account in your directory with a work address.

“Your organisation does not allow guests.”

The organisation's rule closes guest access. Invite the person as a member, or ask an owner to change the rule.

“… only invites the addresses …”

The organisation invites guests from a list of domains only. Use an address of one of those domains, or ask an owner to add the domain.

“Verify your address to invite.”

Confirm your own address with the 6-digit code iyedy sends you, then invite again.

Members, roles and seats

“Every seat of … is taken: add a seat.”

A Contributor, an Editor or a workspace Owner takes a seat. Give a free role (Viewer, Commenter), or add a seat. See Manage seats.

“Name another owner first.”

The organisation, or a workspace, would be left without an owner. Name another owner, then try again.

“An Enterprise organisation keeps two owners.”

On Enterprise, two owners stay at all times. Name a new owner before you remove or change one.

“Only an owner can do this for an owner, a security administrator, an auditor or an account administrator.”

A workspace administrator does not act on these people. Ask an owner.

“Your role does not allow it.”

The action needs another organisation role. See Roles and permissions.

Rules, AI and Claude

“Confirm your identity to change this setting: nothing was saved.”

Sensitive settings need a recent sign-in. Sign in again, then repeat the change.

“The assistant is turned off for the organisation.”

Nobody accepted the AI addendum yet, or an administrator turned it off. See Turn on the Assistant for your organisation.

“MCP clients are not enabled for this organization.”

Access for Claude is off. An owner asks support to turn it on. See Claude and MCP for your organisation.

“This diagram leaves …: an administrator must agree.” or “Your organisation does not let its diagrams out.”

Copying or moving a diagram out of the organisation follows its rule. Copy it within the organisation instead, or ask an administrator. See Dual approval.

“The organisation just changed: try again.”

Another administrator changed the same thing at the same time. Read the section again, then try again.

Still stuck? Contact support with the organisation's name and the message you see.
